About Artz Yard Gallery
Founder Zoë Mageean set up the gallery to showcase the work of artists such as John McSorley, who has lived and worked on the shores of Strangford Lough for many years. Described as ‘Ireland’s painter of the night’ because of his love of nocturnes, his paintings shimmer with reflected light, giving them a luminous, mysterious quality. A strong desire to support and promote art works of this calibre led to the creation of this unique space for artists.
Whether you’re a collector, or simply want to indulge in a piece of original art, Artz Yard may have what you’re looking for. At our gallery you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and encouraged to browse at your leisure, with friendly assistance always on hand. Elizabeth Ryan joined Artz Yard in November 07 and has brought lots of new skills and energy to the Gallery.
